Senior AI Institute exists because of a simple observation, and a decision to do something about it.
Technology has advanced faster than most of us anticipated. And for many older adults, that pace has not felt like progress. It has felt like being left out of a conversation that everyone else seems to be having. A suspicious text that creates anxiety. A tablet that feels more frustrating than useful. A phone call that does not feel right. Small moments, but they accumulate.
The founders of Senior AI Institute saw this firsthand, with people they love and respect. Capable, sharp, experienced people who simply had never been given structured guidance for navigating a world that changed beneath their feet. And it was clear they were not alone.
"We saw loved ones start to feel frustrated and less confident with technology that should be making their lives easier. We knew they were not alone. And we knew something could be done about it."
That observation became the foundation. Senior AI Institute exists to give older adults the knowledge and confidence to use technology comfortably and safely, and to protect themselves from those who would exploit their uncertainty.
The goal is not to turn anyone into a tech expert. It is practical, accessible education that makes daily life a little easier, a little safer, and yes, genuinely enjoyable. Residents leave these sessions with tools they can use immediately and a confidence they did not have before they walked in.
Not to turn seniors into technologists. Not to overwhelm them with tools. Just to give them enough, and the right enough, to stay connected, stay protected, and stay in control.
Jason Burt brings 30 years of business leadership experience, including senior roles at Amazon, Blizzard Entertainment, and Korn Ferry. He founded Ti22 Associates, growing it into a successful international recruiting firm, and has delivered AI literacy training to large professional audiences.
Senior AI Institute sits at the intersection of that professional background and a personal one: watching people he admires navigate a world that changed faster than anyone anticipated, without a clear guide for doing so. That experience shaped the curriculum, the tone, and the mission behind every session.
The program is built on a simple premise: older adults deserve access to clear, practical AI education, delivered with patience and respect. Senior AI Institute exists to provide exactly that, at scale, to communities across the country.
A few principles that shape everything we build and every session we deliver.
Older adults are not a problem to be solved. They are capable people who deserve to be treated with respect, not talked down to, not rushed, not made to feel behind. Every session is built on this premise.
We do not teach theory. We teach what residents can use today. If a concept does not make someone's life immediately easier or safer, it does not belong in the curriculum.
AI is not magic and it is not a threat. It is a tool. We present it that way: no breathless enthusiasm, no unnecessary fear. Just clear, honest information that empowers people to make their own choices.
We are accepting a limited number of Founding Partner communities for complimentary pilot sessions right now.
