Module 01

AI Basics for Everyday Life

Most residents are already using AI without knowing it -- in their GPS, their phone's voice assistant, their streaming service. This session starts there: familiar ground, zero jargon. Residents leave with a clear mental model of what AI actually is, what it can do for them, and three practical prompts they can use the same day.

Scam Protection & Digital Safety

Adults 60 and older lost $2.4 billion to fraud in 2024 (FTC), a fourfold increase since 2020 -- and AI-powered scams are making the problem significantly worse. Deepfake phone calls, voice cloning, fake emergency texts from "grandchildren" -- the tactics are sophisticated and the targets are deliberate. This session gives residents a clear, memorable framework for protecting themselves and their families.
